Show off your best-selling ideas for this profit center with creative box, bag or plated and delivered lunches and provide all attendees with some great ideas "to-go" in the Catersource “Out of the Box” Boxed Lunch Contest.
All winners will also be featured in an upcoming issue of Catersource magazine, and will receive a trophy, two 2014 Catersource or Event Solutions registration certificates and cash!
First Place: $750
Second Place: $500
Third Place: $250
Winners will be chosen by attendee vote during the Buffet/Boxed Lunch event on Monday March 11 and will be announced during the Closing Session on Wednesday, March 13 at the 2013 Catersource Conference & Tradeshow at The Mirage Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

Official Contest Rules
1) Contestants receive one complimentary “Out of the Box” Boxed Lunch ticket. Any additional contestants on your team must purchase a ticket, cost for lunch is $69 each.
2) All contestants must be attendees of the 2013 Conference. Vendors are not eligible to participate in this contest.
3) There is a maximum of two people per entry. Each team may make two entries only.
4) You may use any materials you want, but non-Catersource Conference Sponsors may NOT be visually or verbally promoted at this contest without written permission of Catersource. You will be disqualified should this rule not be followed.
5) You may wear chef coats or aprons if you wish, but they are not required or provided.
6) Plastic gloves will be provided and are required to be worn, your hair must also be pulled back when building your lunch.
7) Kitchen and paper towels will be provided.
8) One small, inexpensive paring-size knife per team will be provided. You may bring your own knives. Remember: you will need to put them in your checked luggage if you fly.
9) Please arrive at the Mirage Event Center A between 11AM-12pm. Your workstation will be assigned at that time. There will be brief introductions and you may begin building your creation. Attendees will be allowed to enter the room at 12:00pm.
10) Attendees will be allowed to enter the room at 12:00pm.
11) The finished presentations will be judged by attendees to determine the winner. Voting ballots will be counted by an independent panel to determine first, second and third place entries.
12) When judging is finished, boxed lunches will be available for photography and viewing for the rest of the lunch time period. Prizes are as follows:
First Place: $750 and two 2014 Catersource or Event Solutions registration certificates and a trophy.
Second Place: $500 and two 2014 Catersource or Event Solutions registration certificates and a trophy.
Third Place: $250 and two 2014 Catersource or Event Solutions registration certificates and a trophy.
13) In case of a tie, prizes will be split between winners.
14) Space for this contest is limited so enter early!
15) Contestants agree to allow attendees to photograph and/or video their buffets. Catersource and Event Solutions are given permission to use photos and/or video of the displays in Catersource and/or Event Solutions magazine and/or marketing.
16) Catersource and Event Solutions may adjust these rules with notice to contestants.
17) The Contest is taking place at the Mirage Event Center A in the back hall of the room and doors will open to lunch attendees at 12:00pm.
