Vanessa Vass, Sales Director, Root Cellar Catering Co.
Vanessa has worked in the events industry for over a decade. Her competitive and creative spirit has driven her to succeed in, and ultimately, fall in love with the world of sales. She has been the Catering Sales Director at Root Cellar Catering Co. since 2016 and has enjoyed almost every minute of it. An alumni of Texas State University and the Past President of ILEA Austin, she also volunteers her time with the Junior League of Austin. Her home life consists of her amazing husband and teammate, Matthew Schuster, and Walter, her dapper dapple dachshund. In her spare time, she loves the art of television and crafting intricate costumes for festive occasions.
Megan Turbeville, Owner/Executive Chef , Root Cellar Catering Co.
Megan Turbeville is the Owner of Hill Country Cuisine, LLC, which includes the Root Cellar Catering Co. and The Coffee Bar. She's also the Executive Chef of the Taproot Restaurant Collective. A Texas State graduate and classically trained chef, she grew up a military brat, and loves getting people to eat (and love) things they wouldn't normally try. But don't try to sell her on broccoli. When she's not in the kitchen, you can find her in the garden, growing flowers and herbs...preferably with a glass of wine or a cocktail in hand.
