Remember the last time you read a really great book or watched an exciting movie or play? Not only did it comprise of all the parts and pieces that created the thrilling storyline, but it also contained wonderful and delicious details that made the story come alive—delivering a memorable experience that you never wanted to end. Allow your next event to tell a compelling story by filling it with details that make an impact.
Once an event theme/feel is established, the detail dreaming can begin! Embellishments that support the theme and tell the story go beyond venue, color palette, music and food. Thoughtful details add so much, by making the event consistent, cohesive and solid, and leave the guests with an experience that endures.
"Creativity is intelligence having fun" – Albert Einstein
Creativity was at an all time high at an event that had a Punk Rock music focus. Here are excellent examples of paying attention to the details and using an unconventional theme and complementary elements. The results gave way to an event filled with street cred and an edgy vibe.
Spikey succulents and tables with graffiti-like art decoupage lent an air of cool without trying too hard—an unique way to add an extra element of interest to décor that could otherwise considered basic and blasé.
Bars with trussing and galvanized aluminum were the perfect centerpieces for the event; LED screens offered a club feel, while the vintage pinball machines and skull details in décor and the floral designs kept the vibe chill. The centerpiece of the space featured more corrugated metal that embellished the dance risers with an industrial feel.
A skateboard ramp added energy and entertainment to the event—tricks and talents of local pro skaters were featured.
Happy guest, happy client
Whether large or small, details can pack a punch and often are the defining elements that clients and guests remember the most. Be creative, think big and wide, and don’t be intimidated by the big picture; be inspired with little nuances that you can implement. Like a good story ending, living happily ever after is a very, very good thing.
