New holidays are like buses: every 15 minutes a new one shows up on your Outlook calendar. But only a certain few stick out and deserve to be celebrated. As always, the old bartender in me pays attention to cocktail holidays. October 4 marks National Vodka Day. Still the most popular liquor sold in the U.S., there is no better way to celebrate this day than with the 75-year old Moscow Mule “the drink that started it all.” (that is, vodka’s popularity in the U.S.).
So, embrace your first Tuesday of October with a crisp and refreshing Moscow Mule, or another of the fine recipes below, developed to satisfy your happy hour tastebuds.
