Flowers are by far one of the beautiful elements of a wedding, but they can also add up quickly in the wedding budget! Here are some creative and cost-effective ways to incorporate the beauty of flowers without breaking the budget.
Stationery
If your client is hoping to incorporate fall tones with florals into their wedding, stationery designs and photos could be a great beginning. Stationery is an easy way to incorporate florals into a wedding without adding major costs to the floral budget. Whether you go bright and bold or light and dainty, flowers are a lovely detail to incorporate with your paper goods.
Fashion
For nontraditional brides, suggest a floral dress instead of the traditional white. It will most definitely be eye-catching, but still keep the sweet and romantic feel of a white-wearing bride on her wedding day.
If the bride still wants the traditional white dress, she can instead wear a shoe with a floral design. Adding that floral element through the shoes is a great shot for any photographer and adds detail!
Another great option is to select a dress that has a floral pattern in the lace.
Décor
A great way mix things up from traditional floral arrangements is by creating a floral backdrop, using paper or faux flowers to keep the budget down. It's generally enough to satisfy the bride's need for floral, while keeping the eyes of the guests and focusing on the happy couple. Not to mention it's great for a photo opportunity!
Instead of filling the dining table with florals, fill the space by creating a hanging arrangement over the table. Not only does this activate the empty ceiling space, but also it's gorgeous décor that adds something extra while keeping the table simple. And bonus—creating a couple of statement pieces is often more cost effective than creating dozens of table arrangements.
Cake
Flowers also make for great cake toppers and dessert accents. Add a few loose blooms to dress up a traditional cake, or opt for a more statement piece.
Sugar flowers are also a great option if your baker is able to create them; else, there are many purveyors who will sugar actual flowers for a lovely garnish or decoration.
