One of the most popular ways we’re seeing couples implement this trend is through their tablescapes, so let’s take a peek at what we can expect from this nature-driven trend.

Florals
Perfectly round bridal bouquets with not a petal out of place are slowly becoming a trend of the past, with a more ‘just picked from the garden’ style gaining in popularity. Expect to see, “use of leaves, branches, suspended plants and lots of greenery with a focus on the natural, wild effect,” says Sandra Santoro of Getting Married in Italy.

Celebrity wedding planner David Tutera predicts, “Rather than your average ‘wedding-y’ feel, we’ll be seeing more organic components like succulents, smilax, petrified wood, and moss take center stage.”

Color Schemes
While color is definitely making a comeback in 2017, the couples that are throwing a nature-inspired wedding are much more focused on keeping things more simple with neutral color schemes of cream and white tones, blush, hues of brown, and lots of greenery. “We’re taking this year’s trends like metallics, and softening them with clean white, creams, and ivory tones paired with natural elements and geometric accents,” shares Tutera.
Textures and Shapes
Unexpected patterns and textures are popping up on tablescapes that celebrate the outdoors and what nature has to offer. “Natural elements such as wood, natural marble, geode stones, etc. are making their way into designs, especially tabletop design,” explains David Merrell of AOO Events.

Geometric accents are also becoming a trend that blends perfectly with a nature-inspired celebration with its simplicity and funky modern style. “Geometric shapes are a big trend—whether it’s candleholders or side tables, anything with lots of angles is making a splash,” says Igal Sapir of 100 Candles.
Nature and tablescapes are shaping up to be a perfect marriage in the design world, and we think this is a trend that will be sticking around for a long time!
