The Achievement in Catering & Events (ACE) awards honor those who have worked tirelessly to keep their clients thrilled and their companies on the cutting edge. Each year, caterers and event planners from around the globe submit their best work from the past year in hopes of being recognized as the best in the industry. Catersource’s annual awards show, also including the ICA CATIE awards, took place in Las Vegas at Caesars Palace on February 19, 2018.
Each company submitted two events for ACE consideration. Here is a look at the two events that elevated Feast on This, Inc. in the category of Catering West Under 2 Million in revenue.

ONE: Game Masters Interactive Dessert Station - Pac Man Plinko
“This event was true collaboration of our senior leaders; from the initial creative conception to the execution and delivery to the client,” said Melissa Lanza, Client Relationship Manager. “Collaboration, creativity, and execution define who we are as a catering company and how we stand out among our competitors.”
The company delivered the idea of an interactive, progressive dessert station because the client wanted an experience. “Because we were stationed at the Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park,” said Lanza, “we matched the theme of their latest exhibit: Game Masters; a video game extravaganza. Thus, PacMan Plinko was born.”
In game level 1, cubes of cake were placed in plastic orbs and rolled down the plinko board for people to grab.
Level 2 offered a variety of drizzles such as blackberry, raspberry, chocolate, and caramel; Level 3 (shown), “fruit ninja” offered skewered and cut fruit
Level 4 had the finishing touches via Candy Crush: candy toppings. The experience ended at the "Game Over” station with forks and napkins!
What better way to be memorable than to allow the guests to interact with video game themed stations while building their own tasty dessert?!!

TWO: Palm Springs Destination Wedding with Treasured Family Recipes
Recreating a treasured family recipe adds a certain amount of pressure but Feast on This, Inc. nailed Lomo Saltado through multiple tastings with the family, to ensure the recipe was executed precisely right and honored the grandparent it represented. But—to cook it in on off-prem pop-up kitchen two hours away from the company kitchen? Well, not a problem there, either.
At one of the most beautiful estates in Palm Springs, CA, Feast on This, Inc. pulled out all of the stops for this family-style served wedding dinner. Here’s a look:
