Miami luxury event designer and wedding planner Guerdy Abraira celebrated her birthday with the theme, 40 Shades of Fabulous earlier this year.
Her birthday adventure began with an exclusive dinner for close friends and family at the renowned Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, Byblos in Miami. The room was dripping in candles, which highlighted the gorgeous pink, magenta, and purple décor, as well as the hundreds of table set roses and hanging carnation hoops.
Guests were served a three-course family-style dinner which included delightful surprises such as roasted squab and pistachio rose water mousse. After dinner, guests ventured to The Penthouse at Riverside Wharf, one of Miami’s hottest nightlife spots.
With a list of over 30 vendors and 200 guests, the penthouse was transformed. The evening was black attire required, in order to make the pops of magenta around the room shine while also highlighting the birthday gal, Guerdy Abraira, who wore a dress constructed of magenta lace. Guests were entertained with indoor pyrotechnics, late night snacks and libations, a laser show, robot dressed dancers, a wall stacked with 40 cakes, and a deep tribal club beat set by DJ Moreno who flew in from London to celebrate.
