Skyline at Peninsula Village, a new venue in Newport Beach, CA, celebrated its opening with a Mediterranean seaside-inspired soiree in partnership with 24 Carrots Catering & Events.
The new venue features an open concept layout that showcases unobstructed stunning harbor views, plus a custom built-in bar, lounge seating, and outdoor fire pit.
Guests were seated around a large table that positively dripped in Greek-inspired decor, including lemons, artichokes, grapes, and a variety of flowers and candles atop woven baskets. Photo courtesy Amelia Lyon Photo
The "Santorini-chic" event was inspired by the Greek Island of Mykonos and let guests imagine themselves to be in the Aegean Sea instead of on the Pacific Coast. Guests were greeted by breezy blue decor that paid tribute to Greek culture and geography, most notably with spilling displays of lemons and coastal flowers, as well as hanging evil eye decor and signs reading “Opa!”
Food and beverage was inspired by Mediterranean cuisine and traditions, from the Yamas bar with spritzers and “citrusy sips” to fried eggplant burritos, mini open-faced gyros, harissa halloumi tots, and cumin-spiced cauliflower with pistachio pilaf.
The event was tied together by Duffy Boat rides along the harbor, which offered guests a view of the venue from the water.
