A Lifetime of Achievement
April 26, 2017
On March 13, president of Cleveland, Ohio’s Executive Caterers, Harlan Diamond, accepted the Michael Roman Lifetime Achievement Award at Catersource’s opening ceremony in New Orleans.

Prior to Diamond taking the stage, his executive vice president Charles Klass, who has been with the copany over 25 years, spoke highly of his colleague.
This award, named for the late Catersource founder, Michael Roman, is given to one person each year who has made an impact on the catering and events industries over the course of their career. Diamond joins a prestigious group: in 2016, Kendall Collier of Atlanta’s A Divine Event received the award; in 2015, it was Holly Safford of Boston’s The Catered Affair.
For almost six decades (Diamond launched the company in 1960), Executive Caterers has served the civic, corporate, and social communities of northeast Ohio and beyond.
Diamond’s speech was funny and sweet with a fascinating historical perspective but also offered solid business advice for those currently working in catering and events.
In his acceptance speech, Diamond absolutely bedazzled those in attendance, weaving stories about the history of the company, its loyal employees, its successes, and the philanthropic efforts which have helped revitalize and enhance the Cleveland community. “I could have listened to him all morning!” said one attendee.
