Steal This: “Eat Your Veggies” Event

Marcia Selden Catering & Events recently held an event planners dinner with Partyslate at its exclusive NYC venue, Above Twelve. Chef Robin Selden wanted to turn things upside down and created a delicious, entirely vegan multi-course 'storybook dinner'.

Each course focused on one fresh ingredient. The starter was tomato, and included tartare and sorbet. The corn featured a pudding, ribs, and bisque. The main course of mushrooms was transformed into a rich and satisfying "meat" lasagna.  Outrageous desserts were our Cast Iron Apple Crumble with almond ice cream and Chocolate Coconut Dream Cake with whipped coconut foam. It was exciting that the guests didn't realize that the entire menu was vegan until they were told at the end of the evening.
