Bill Pannhoff
William R. Pannhoff is a native of Minnesota. There he was co-owner of Crystal Catering in the early 80’s. While serving in the United States Army for six years, he graduated with honors from the military's Club Management & Culinary Arts School, spent time with the Army Culinary Arts Team, and was a general's enlisted aide and the NCOIC of a Military Bed and Breakfast. The Next step was opening B&B Catering in 1990. Mr. Pannhoff has a degree in Food Service Management, a Certificate in Military Club Management and Military Culinary Upgrade Program and almost a degree in Marketing and Retailing. Mr. Pannhoff is an active speaker and writer for Catersource, is the Moderator of the Catersource forum and a member of the Catersource Consulting Unit. He also is an instructor in the Perfect Fit track. He also is a member of the ICA- the International Caterer's Association.
- Where do you find inspiration?
I love to serve people new experiences in entertaining and dining and working with other caterers through consulting gives me inspiration. Also going to work in a different environment with new challenges every day drives me to excel.
- What excites you most about the year ahead in the catering industry?
That it’s not the last two years. They stunk. Now we’ve thinned the crowd and only the strong ones are still here. - What is the best piece of business advice you’ve ever been given?
Love what you do or get a real job. - What do you hope attendees will take away from your session?
That successful catering and event planning is going back to the basics and doing them well & consistently. Also you as carter are not alone when you are plugged into a group of other successful caterer via Catersource. Make friends and learn form each other.
