Why join the ICA?
Education is essential to the growth of your catering business, and the connections you’ll make as a member of the ICA will benefit your company endlessly. Don’t just take our word for it; see what one of our members has to say!
Carlton Brown, chef and owner of Occasional Occasions by Carlton, emphasized how valuable his ICA membership has been when we spoke with him. “From 2014 to 2015, I have seen my business grow an incredible 200%, which I attribute partly to the knowledge that I have gained and implemented in my business from ICA and Catersource,” said Brown.
The most beneficial parts of an ICA membership? The webinars, which he mentioned were “always intriguing,” and the connections he made with seasoned caterers. ”To be able to pick up the phone and simply call when I’m in a growth challenge is incredible,” Brown added.
After reviewing our 2015 year-end survey, we also found that ICA members benefit greatly from the ICA Roundtable Facebook page—where members share ideas—and from member-to-member networking. Catersource is an excellent way to connect with ICA members at both the ICA-sponsored sessions and at our meet-and-greet event. Share, learn and explore at the dozens of Catersource sessions among thousands of catering experts discussing tips, trends and ideas.
Additionally, if you’d like to improve your menu or learn how to maximize your margins, the Art of Catering Food conference focuses on developing menus ideal for your market. You’ll learn to use new ingredients and capitalize on the pricing of your cuisine.
Through the connections you’ll make with other members and the knowledge you’ll gain, your catering business will improve and expand because of your ICA membership.
