In the News: New Executive Chef at Bold Catering & Design

Bold Catering & Design, the award-winning Atlanta event catering, design and production company from hospitality group Fifth Group Restaurants, is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Mitchell as executive chef.
Originally from Canada, Mitchell received a culinary degree at Le Cordon Bleu in Pittsburgh. Prior to joining the Bold team in April, Mitchell spent nearly 20 years working for Marriott International. During his career with the revered hospitality company, Mitchell worked at Marriott properties across the South, including St. Petersburg and Marco Island, FL, Hilton Head Island, SC and New Orleans, LA. In 2013, Mitchell relocated to Atlanta, where he served in several roles within the company including executive chef at the J.W. Marriott in Buckhead, food and beverage director of the Renaissance Hotel, and most recently as executive chef for the opening of The Hotel at Avalon and South City Kitchen Avalon.

At Bold, Mitchell brings a passion for touching people’s lives with a quality and inspired food and beverage experience. As executive chef, Mitchell is responsible for both day-to-day and long-term initiatives including personnel management and menu development. He will also work closely with the Bold Design team to ideate and execute the innovative, highly customizable food and beverage stations that make each Bold event completely unique.
